There’s no place like home — except maybe the beach. During peak summer seasons in the late 1960s the three north Jersey Shore towns combined had more than 30 beach clubs. Ever since generations of local families have enjoyed the sun and fun — making for lasting memories. They continue to thrive. The following photo-essay captures some of the beach life through the years at the clubs in Monmouth Beach, Long Branch, and Sea Bright (including Highland Beach). Sandy Hook too.
